Purposes of collection: (1) guest identity verification and lodging registration as required by Malaysian law; (2) Tourism Tax compliance under the Tourism Tax Act 2017 (foreign guests only); (3) building/strata management security registration; (4) operational communication about your stay (door codes, wifi, parking); (5) emergency response.

Categories of data: name, contact details (phone, email, home address), date of birth, NRIC or passport details (number, country of issue, photograph of the document), travel companion details, vehicle plate, emergency contact, digital signature.

Disclosure to third parties: Your data may be shared with (a) Whapi.cloud — for sending arrival pack via WhatsApp; (b) Netlify — hosting and encrypted storage; (c) Stripe — payment processing for direct bookings only; (d) Malaysian government agencies (police, immigration, MOTAC) on lawful request; (e) building management for security registration.

Cross-border transfer: Cloud providers above operate global infrastructure that may store data outside Malaysia. By submitting this form you consent to such transfer for the purposes stated, in line with PDPA §129.

Retention: Guest register data is retained for at least 3 years per the Tourism Industry (Compounding of Offences) Regulations. ID document images are deleted within 90 days after checkout unless a longer period is required by law (e.g., open dispute, regulatory request).

Your rights: You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and withdraw consent (which may end your stay) by emailing kineticretreats@gmail.com.
